Why FE49 appears
The fan can be blocked by objects in the drawer beneath the hob, or by dust and similar substances. The other reason is insufficient ventilation for the cooling system.
What to do about it
Remove the blockage from the fan area. For the ventilation reason, check the installation against the minimum safety distances in the operating and installation instructions: no less than 15 mm between the hob underside and an intermediate shelf or oven. When the distance is confirmed, the hob has to be disconnected from the mains to remove the fault display.
