Error codeFE47
ApplianceCooktop
Quick answer
What FE47 means on a Miele induction hob and the checks the support text gives the owner.
Model compatibility
Miele reuses codes across series and model years, so FE47 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What thiscode means
The fan of the hob cooling system is blocked or the hob has insufficient ventilation.
FE47 appears on the display of a cooking zone on a Miele induction hob. It tells you that the fan is blocked or that the cooling system is not getting enough air.
What the manual asks you to check
Start with the drawer under the hob. Objects stored there, or dust and similar material, can block the fan, and the manual says to remove the blockage.
Then look at how the hob is installed. The operating and installation instructions list minimum safety distances, and at least 15 mm must remain between the bottom edge of the hob and the intermediate shelf or oven. When that distance is in order, disconnect the hob from the mains. This step is what clears the fault message.
FE49 is another fan and ventilation message for the hob.
FE44 points to an overheated induction hob, unsuitable cookware or a blocked fan.
Miele cooktop service in Los Angeles
If FE47 stays after the checks above, the manual says to contact Miele customer service. For hob service in Los Angeles you can call (310) 742-0025 or read about cooktop repair. Have the code, the hob model number and the checks you already made ready.
Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
