Error codeF37
ApplianceWasher
Quick answer
F37 shows on Miele washing machines and washer-dryers when the machine is not aligned correctly.
Model compatibility
Miele reuses codes across series and model years, so F37 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What thiscode means
The washer is not level, or the drain hose is connected too high.
F37 shows on a Miele washing machine or washer-dryer display. The machine is not aligned correctly.
Check the installation
The washer may not be installed perfectly level. Check that it stands level and consult the operating instructions for more information. The drain hose may also have been connected too high up: the maximum delivery head is 1 m, so check that the hose is positioned correctly.
Miele’s operating instructions for the WWI 861 WCS TwinDos show this as the message “Align the washing machine”. There it means the Pre-ironing Extra at the end of the program could not be carried out properly.
To level the machine, all four screw feet must stand firmly and level. Use a spirit level. With the spanner supplied, turn counter nut 2 clockwise, then unscrew it together with foot 1 to adjust. Hold the foot steady and tighten the counter nut against the housing again. Do this for all four feet, including any you did not adjust, or the machine can move about. Poor installation can also raise power and water use.
If the fault persists, contact Miele Customer Service or book a repair appointment online.
