F10 appears on Miele countertop coffee machines when no water is being drawn in. The steps below follow Miele’s support text in its order.

Step by step

  1. Remove the water container and fill it 3/4 full with fresh drinking water.
  2. Insert the container into the machine and take it out again repeatedly, 10-20 times.
  3. For appliances from serial number 152922013 onwards, check the filter in the water intake valve, which sits in the recess for the water container. Clean it if it is dirty.
  4. Remove the water container and look at the filter under it. Unscrew the cap, then take out the sealing ring and the filter.
  5. Clean the parts by hand with water only, no cleaning agents, to avoid unpleasant flavours. Rinse them under running water.
  6. Put the filter back first, cross facing upwards, then the sealing ring with its opening facing downwards. Screw the cap on tightly and push the container back in.
  7. Descale the machine, following the operating instructions for your model.
