ApplianceWasher
Quick answer
F210, also shown as Check filter + nozzle, points to a fault in the suds circulation system of a Miele washing machine or washer-dryer.
Model compatibility
Miele reuses codes across series and model years, so F210 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What thiscode means
Fault in the suds circulation system; the door-seal nozzle or the drain filter is blocked.
F210, which can also read Check filter + nozzle, is a suds circulation fault on Miele washing machines and washer-dryers. Miele’s cause: the nozzle at the top of the door sealing ring is blocked, or the drain filter is.
First, the nozzle
Lift the fluff out of the nozzle, gently, with a finger.
Then the drain filters and pump
Hot suds are a scalding risk after a high-temperature wash, and a blocked outlet can keep a lot of water in the drum. Work slowly.
Turn the machine off.
Remove the pump access cover and set a flat container, such as a universal tray, below it.
Loosen the filters a little to let water out; tighten again whenever it needs to stop.
When the water has stopped, take the filters out and clean them well.
Look at the pump impellers: they must turn freely. Remove buttons, coins or other objects and clean the pump chamber.
Put each filter back in its own position and tighten it fully, because a loose filter can leak and the water can do damage.
Put the cover back.
When F210 remains, Miele says to contact its Customer Service or arrange a repair online.
