Error codeF13
ApplianceSteam Oven
Quick answer
F13 reports that the oven compartment temperature is too high. Open the intake valve fully and descale or clean the nozzle.
Model compatibility
Miele reuses codes across series and model years, so F13 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What thiscode means
Oven compartment temperature too high.
The display of a Miele steam oven or combination steam oven shows F13 when the temperature in the oven compartment is too high.
Causes the manual lists
The water intake valve may not be fully open, so open it fully and start again. The water nozzle may need descaling or be clogged; it has to be descaled whenever F13 shows.
Descaling the nozzle safely
Hot surfaces and steam are a risk of injury. Open the door carefully, and use oven gloves when working in the hot compartment.
When the buzzer has sounded several times, open the door and take the food out.
Keep the door open while the oven cools.
Take off the side runners and draw the nozzle out.
Use Miele system descaler or a suitable proprietary one, and rinse under running water.
Flush all water-carrying parts before refitting: Steam cooking, 100 °C, 1 minute, Start/Stop.
After cooling down, open the door, then refit nozzle and runners.
Normal use follows. This applies to steam ovens and combination steam ovens.

F05 shares the valve and nozzle causes but describes the water side. F267 is a temperature limiter fault and a different matter.
