How to refill

Miele’s user manual for the G 7000 / G 5000 dishwashers shows the matching message “Refill rinse aid”. When it appears, the reservoir holds enough for only 2-3 more programs.

  1. Press the yellow button on the reservoir lid so it springs open.
  2. Pour in rinse aid until the filling level arrow turns dark. Check this with the door open horizontally. The reservoir holds about 110 ml.
  3. Press the lid down until it clicks. A lid that is not closed firmly lets water into the reservoir during a program.
  4. Wipe up spills, which can cause over-foaming in the next program.

If the reservoir empties unusually fast, Miele points to the seal on the lid: it may be loose or missing. Press it on all the way around, or look for it in the wash cabinet. A lost seal can be ordered as a spare part.
