Error codeF10
ApplianceSteam Oven
Quick answer
F10 is a water inlet fault: a dried-out feed pump, a suction hose problem or osmosis water. Check the hose first.
Model compatibility
Miele reuses codes across series and model years, so F10 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What thiscode means
Water inlet fault; feed pump dried out, suction hose problem, or osmosis water.
F10 on a Miele steam oven or combination steam oven stands for a water inlet fault. Three situations are listed.
Long idle period
If the oven has not been used for a very long time, the feed pump can dry out. In that case contact Miele Customer Service.
Suction hose in the water container
The black suction hose may be missing, not secure, not inserted correctly or not vertical. Reattach it correctly and correct its position. A hose that is missing, leaking or faulty, for example cracked, must be replaced; contact Miele Customer Service for that.
Osmosis system in the building
An osmosis system can reduce the conductivity of the water. The hardness has to be at least 1 °dH (= 30 µS per cm = 15 ppm); otherwise the electrode in the steam generator cannot detect the water and F10 (no fill level) is shown. Check whether the osmosis system can be switched off. If not, add a pinch of salt to the water in the water container.
The advice covers steam and combination steam ovens.
Related codes
F12 is also about water not arriving, with the intake valve and filter as causes. F14 reports too little water reaching the steam generator.
